Here’s some wise words for you based on an experience I had last night. If it’s 2am and you are getting ready to go to bed, maybe don’t drink two Red Bull cola drinks.
Someone was telling me about them the other day and I was like, “gee, okay… I guess I’ll try it to see what it’s like.”
Also, for the record, it’s not very good. Tastes like they just mixed Red Bull and Coke 50/50.
This guy loved his nachos at the Chargers game… His hand (and clothes) were covered in cheese. I was waiting for him to take off his clothes and start rubbing nachos all over his naked body. 🙂
Can someone please tell my why Jelly Belly makes buttered popcorn flavored jelly beans? They are f’ing disgusting, and I would rather eat poop flavored candy any day of the week!
There are a couple other nasty flavors (like jalapeno), but none as bad a buttered popcorn.
So me, Anne and Julien tried it (we failed). In reality it’s 6 1/2 pounds of food… 1 lbs of beef, 1/2 pound for the rest of the burger (bun, lettuce, tomato, etc.), 2 lbs of beer, but the kicker is there is no way it was 1 lbs of fries… it was 3 lbs of fries.
Oh well… I finished the burger, beer and 1/3 of the fries… but it was too many fries for me (plus I wasn’t all that hungry to start with).
After playing some frisbee gold yesterday, Julien, Jay and Paul dragged me to Incahoots (a cowboy bar/line dancing place) because on Thursday, you can get a steak, potato and beer for $5.95. Not a bad deal even if it was a crappy steak… but amazingly enough it was actually a pretty good steak too.
Steak, Spuds, & Suds – Enjoy a sizzling steak, baked potato & ice cold draft beer from 5:00-9:00 p.m. for only $5.95.
The best part about it though is it’s an absolute requirement of this place to have your shirt tucked in (out of respect for the cowgirls)… So we were looking pretty good with our t-shirts tucked in. Especially me because I had shorts on. 🙂
But whatever… I guess $5.95 for dinner and beer is worth looking stupid, so I’ll be there next week! 😉
I need to stop right here. Please take a CAREFUL look the picture on the right. There is a common misperception that the 100×100 has a hundred buns. No, that’s not true. It’s one set of buns and ONE HUNDRED meat patties and ONE HUNDRED pieces of sweaty-oily cheese in between the buns. Clearly, the worst part of this experience wasn’t the meat..it was the sweaty cheese.
I went to the store last night, and saw something new (to me anyway). It was a fruit that was half nectarine and half mango. basically was shaped like a nectarine, but looked like a mango. I got a few of them to try out, and they are pretty good… They taste mostly like a nectarine, but are a little stringy like a mango. Kind of weird…
Fine, I like fortune cookies! So I had another one today…
Fortune: Your keen sense of humor will make you many good friends Translation: No one really likes you for you, so you better be funny if you want any friends
I think this is a good idea and all, except for one thing…
You have to order it 72 hours in advance. I think that really cuts into their sales. Imagine going to a bar and every drink you order is served to you 3 days later.
How am I supposed to know how many martinis I’ll want want in 72 hours? Maybe I won’t even be in the mood for a martini then. Dumb.
Quizno’s (which BTW is the best sandwich shop around) just opened a location close (finally). And it reminded me of the retarded gerbil commercials they ran earlier this year. If you never saw it, click here to watch one of them.
Apparently those mutant crack-babies like the moon too. Check it out over here. It’s so stupid, but it’s really funny. hehe
I found these a few months ago at Ralphs grocery store. It’s an apple that tastes like a grape.
I figured it was some new genetically engineered fruit, so I went online to check it out. No such luck… it’s just a normal fuji apple that is “bathed through a patented process and in a few days the entire apple takes on the essence and mouth-watering taste of Concord grapes”.
Oh well… not as cool, but they are still tasty. 🙂
Almost two years ago, I went to Hawaii to laze around. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Kauai (which by the way is the nicest hotel I’ve ever seen).
Anyway, they had a specialty drink there called the Poipu Passion (I probably had like 80 of them during our stay). Guess what? I found the recipe for it! 🙂
I found a corned beef recipe online (the Internet is pretty cool), and I’m sure everyone really cares about it… But too bad. 🙂 I’m going to *try* to makes corned beef for dinner, so I’m off to the store. I’m not sure if I even have a pot big enough… I’m nervous.
Actually, it’s really not all that difficult, pretty much just boil everything.
