I’m An Indian

I actually was born on an Indian reservation (which is true BTW), but that’s not the kind of Indian I’m talking about. Today I decided to try out being something other than an American. Today, I’m an Indian. I don’t speak Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati or any of the other dialects over in India, but whatever… I’ll dress like an Indian (it’s a start).

Okay, in truth there was a webmaster meet for Digital Point users in New Delhi, India on June 17th, 2006, and they sent me some traditional Indian pajamas. πŸ™‚ So check it out, I’m an Indian now (at least I can sleep like one).

Note: I wrote this Sunday night, but wanted to mess around with WordPress’ future publish date function. I’m actually at SES, San Jose right now (assuming my plane didn’t crash. If my plane *did* crash, well then I’m probably the first person ever to write a blog entry from the dead. πŸ™‚ ).

  1. kooool,
i never knew, u’d like it. i’d ‘ve sent you one…:)
anyway, kool, u look GUD, too bad this is not coming from a girl πŸ˜›
so, here is a start… namaskaar:)

  2. Why did you call the image file ‘In the Anus dot JPG?’

Maybe this cross dressing is having side effects on you…

  3. Hey Shawn looking good man, although I have to disagree with one thing – being able to sleep like an indian.

Erm, I don’t think it’s something you can pick up not in a liftime anyway. πŸ˜‰

  5. Um somehow I found this via the supposedly cracking wireless in 60 sec article lol.. so BTW that’s a KURTA pajama ur wearing- that’s men’s clothing (although one could argue a nice outfit like that is the same to Indians as sleeping clothes lol πŸ˜‰ nahin (not) ‘pajamas’ in the Western sense… probably u don’t know words/names for various textiles like ‘Cashmere’ (aka Kasmir) wool, ‘Madras’ plaid, as well as common emblems such as paisley, etc.. all come from India, along with the word ‘pajama’ (also words like ‘goon’ (from gunda = thug), ‘thug’ = thugee etc… lol)

BTW also they are not dialects- each is a separate LANGUAGE, most with entirely independent written alphabets, grammar & pronounciation- so now you know! πŸ™‚ lol πŸ˜› I’m sure desi yaar will feel free to expound/correct, tho I think this thread looks pretty dead… so maybe not. So don’t sleep in it (until after you’ve gone to someone’s wedding in it- just like Indians lmao)…

  6. Very cooooool.

i think u don’t want to call yourself an Indian?
you feel shame i think so
but don’t forget your background, culture, language ok
if you are in US then it does not mean you feel proud and call yourself American…
