Who would have known it would have taken a Braniac clip (Awesome show) to visit the Optigold forum ?!?! I wish I saw this last year, I moved out of an apartment where I could have used the microwave for this experiment 😉 Reply

I haven’t tried the toothpick, but I have made microwave plasma using the grape method and it worked just fine. http://c3po.barnesos.net/homepage/lpl/grapeplasma/ Reply
Similar effect can be achieved using grapes. With a little practice you can make streaks of red firey / lightningy stuff fly from them. Reply
