I knew Google was using some sort of Borg technology, I just didn’t have any solid proof until now. “–using_borg”
Some dorky/interesting stuff in there… it looks like they may be using 2.8Ghz Xeon processors (same as my blade servers). But the more interesting stuff is the parameters they are using (pagerank and supplemental cutoffs for example).
Sent you an email yesterday, not sure if you got it but I tried to post this story on Digg and I was presented with a message from digg that digitalpoint.com “url is on the banned submit list”. What’s that about?
Anyways, looks like some other guy posted it to their blog and got it on Diggs front page.
Beats me… I guess digg doesn’t like my blog. {shrug}

Just letting you know that I am the owner of the site that made it to Digg’s front page. I came across the story on DP and thought it was interesting so I blogged about it, and being involved with marketing online (stuff I learnt from DP) I thought I stick it on Digg.
So after that I was fully expecting it to just die amid the hundreds of stories submitted and went to bed. When I woke up the next day I checked Digg as normal and there it was … quite unbelievable.
But to reiterate … I wasn’t out to steal anybody’s thunder. 🙂
