That is pretty funny. I’ve seen really stupid adwords ads by Target. Really stupid as in, why are trying to get me to click on an ad (that will cost you money) when you don’t even have what I’m looking for? I guess when you make billions, it’s just another tax write off…
Ebay and Target don’t actually buy all these Adwords. They each have contracts with Google to do blanket pattern matched ads on searches that are deemed to be commercial in nature by Google.
Google seems to be for relevant content unless big money is involved. They ought to stop this sort of thing if they are going to be true to their principles.
